Warmer weather and some mud

The weather has been warming up the past couple of days. At one point, it was hot enough to get out the sprinkler and my little sister took advantage of the opportunity. Of course, I also took the opportunity to bribe her into letting me take some nice pictures of her, which I did before climbing up into the attic to dig out the sprinkler for her. So here's the pictures:

After moving the sprinkler closer to the swings, she discovered that water + dirt= mud

She had a little too much fun in the mud.

Roses and some candy

This past weekend, I went on a retreat and I was in charge of the photography for it. I'm not going to post any pictures of what went on during the retreat, first of all because most of them aren't even blog worthy and second, I don't know if the people in the pictures want to be on my blog or not. I still have a few pictures that I took at the retreat that are pretty good, so I'm going to share those. As you can tell, roses were the main thing that I took pictures of.

Spring Break

Well, it's Spring Break for me this week. My family went to the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio for two days. It's a huge hotel with an indoor water park and tons of other stuff for kids to do. I'm not really into waiting 20-30 minutes in line for a 30-45 second ride, and after a while, the wave pool gets pretty boring, so I spent most of my time taking pictures of everyone else. I have more fun doing that anyway. So here are some pictures:
Some water slides.

My little sister on one of the giant floaty toys in the pool (it's a snake).

The stairs to the rides which totally reminded me of the stair cases in Harry Potter.

The water slides again.

My brother coming off a water slide.

what the heck is going on with the weather?

So, I live in Indiana, and I've always known the weather to be quite bipolar, but recently, I think it is going through an over-all identity crisis. Not only was I needing to wear a winter coat about three weeks ago and now it is no longer needed, but today, I came home and was so hot that I put on track shorts and a tank top. And I was still hot. It is not just warming up for Spring. It is just skipping over Spring and heading straight towards Summer with the past two days getting up to 80 degrees. And this is after a very bipolar Winter of having snow one day and sunny, nice weather the next day. So I'm kind of having weather whip-lash at the moment, but last weekend, it was the beginning of the warmer weather and it was a very nice day, so my friend and I went to a creek down the road and took some pictures. Now, it was a very sunny day, so it was very difficult to see the screen of my camera. I have discovered that my pictures aren't as good when I can't actually see what I'm doing, but some turned out pretty good. So here they are:

A small tree that had been cut down by a beaver.

A water bug.

So this is a tree stump, but it looks like a guy with a beard.
And this is my sister. She got her face painted at a basketball game.

wow...it's been a while

So I haven't really been taking many pictures lately. I don't really know why. I guess I'm just really busy. Anyway, I thought that I would just post some old pictures of my sister that I took a while ago. So here they are.

Here she is in her Halloween costume. Yes, that is a frying pan in her hand. She went as Rapunzel from the movie 'Tangled.'

Just keep swimming!

So I am on my school's swim team. I take my camera to every meet (when I remember) and because there is so much down time during the meets, I take TONS of pictures (over 150 to be exact). I decided to post some of them. They aren't all that spectacular and some of the ones I take are just of my friends and I goofing around, but some of them do turn out really cool. I have also mastered the, as I call it, super-duper-high-speed setting and those pictures end up really cool especially of the divers. I'll post some of those later. For now, here's a small sample of the better pictures.

This is actually of me, I didn't take it, my friend did, while I was unaware that she  was taking it. But I really like the way it's focused on my face. It's just one of those random pictures that I fall in love with for reasons like that.
